👋 Introduction

At Village Studio we believe in a future where players can take their identity, look and power from game to game, regardless of platform.. That’s why we’re building Playkens.

<aside> 💡 Playkens are your partner in crime, whether you want to score goals, climb mountains, drift around corners, or snipe the competition. Playkens are designed to move with you as you explore games.

Playken are dressed in wearables, each with a unique set of attributes. These attributes grant bonuses depending on the game: Your hat might boost your score on blue gems in a puzzle game, your shot power in a sports game or your punch damage in a brawler. Frequent cosmetic drops bring new possibilities to your Playken every day.

This is an entirely new way to think about games. Both in how we make them and how we play them.

Sustainability is essential for us at Village Studio. From the way we build our teams to the setup of our economy: We want Playkens to last decades.

Founded in 2021, Village Studio ****is a remote-first team of game industry veterans who believe in interoperability; making games that communicate with each other and items that move between them. We believe this puts more power in players’ hands and unlocks entirely new ways to play and make money.

We have worked at the likes of Microsoft, EA, SEGA, Zynga, Rovio, and Google on games as diverse as Angry Birds, Fable and The Sims.
